Cottage Renovation 2010

So 2010 arrived and the first order of business was bathroom, bathroom bathroom.

While Thomas and Sarah originally spent a few nights in what is now the bathroom while we were completing their room,

it has since come a long way to the point where we "finished" the room by installing the toilet, shower, bathtub and vanity.

This Photo is taken from Tina (Doo Doo's) room to the bathroom where Sarah is siting. This was taken very early likely in June 2009

Thomas helping Daddy put down the subfloor, one screw every six inches

...and after a little time we now have a bathtub that works and doesn't leak, plus, not seen in the picture

are a working shower, vanity and toilet, and voila, a working bathroom.

After spending so much time on the bathroom, it was only a matter of time before the waterfront's siren song started calling us.

It may not look like we did much, but a two or three hundred pound boulder here with a five or six hundred pound boulder there and the

weekend disappears pretty quickly. Suffice it to say at the end everyone was pleased with how the waterfront was taking shape.

Now if we could only ever get around to building that larger dock everyone wants.

With the extension closed in, the bathroom "finished" a lot of time was dedicated to finishing the crawl space.

(if you can have 15ft ceilings in a crawl space)

Believe it or not, this space actually was completely empty at one point.

By the end the end of September and start of October the Cottage had reached a point where things were really

starting to come together. Still a lot of work to go, but you no longer felt like you were living in a constructions zone.

But still no doors for the bedrooms and bathroom!

Not too Bad eh?
