SEPTEMBER
Construction at the cottage has proven to bring out the "boy" in all the men! With truck load upon truck load of sand (and good old dirt) Thomas has been in heaven playing, or in his mind, helping to move the sand! Sarah has even got in on the action - check out the picture of her in the wheelbarrel!
Thomas on his "zamboni" towing his "trailor" (he found some wheels attached to 2 2x4's and immediately brought it over to his zamboni to hook it up, just like how Pops hooks the trailor up to the ATV.

Sarah and her cousin, CJ enjoyed playing with the grass and grabbing at each other's faces!
All the kids had fun in the sand ... not sure how their moms felt when they were all done playing and brought home a pound of sand in their clothing!!
Grandpa and Grandma's house is always fun to visit, but this time was especially fun as Thomas discovered the joy of climbing trees (with Daddy's help) and throwing acorns (with Grandpa's help), not to mention playing OIN the pool table!
Walking in the trails

More smiles for Grandma!
Nope, not this tree Thomas!
Playing in the basement with Grandpa ... from pool shark to enough already ;)
What a big and independent boy we have! The Richmond Fair was on in full swing today and Thomas wanted on every ride, even those he was too small for! It was great seeing him all smiles as he rode the little roller coaster all by himself. Sarah, as usual, was content and full of smiles for anyone who paid any attention to her.
Feeding the animals
After each handful was eaten, Thomas was very eager to get more

Thomas started nursery school this morning. He will be going two morning a week and so far seems very excited about it. After we arrived and put his school bag in his cubby, he quickly went to inspect the many toys. After a few minutes I realized it appeared I was no longer needed. Thomas came over, gave a quick kiss and then turned back to play. What an independent "little man". Hopefully his smile will still be there when I pick him up from school!!
All set to go ... some neighbors were waiting for their school bus and noticed Thomas with his school bag, it was adorable to see slightly older children get excited for Thomas (which made him feel even more special).
"Look mama, there it is!"
